100 Voices
100 Voices aims at mobilizing youth networks by creating a platform for youth advocates to empower 100 of their peers, with evidence and knowledge on sexual and reproductive health, and gender-based violence through community based activities and social media engagement. The campaign hopes to create a ripple effect among young people in fostering greater interest and knowledge on youth rights, gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH).

Hormonal changes occurring during the menopausal period are related, either directly or indirectly, to adverse effects on quality of life. The menopause flipchart provides information on how to manage menopause effectively.
The need for Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Sri Lanka (G2G-5)
To mark World Population Day (2018), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) together with the Parliamentary Sectoral Oversight Committee on Women and Gender, and the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka jointly held UNFPA’s 5th Generation-to-Generation (G2G) dialogue to highlight the need for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Sri Lanka.
This report provides a snapshot of the discussions of the G2G dialogue and provides policy points that can assist in evidence-based decision making.

National Strategic Plan on Maternal and Newborn Health (2017 - 2025)
Maternal and Newborn Health Strategic Plan (MNH SP) 2017 – 2025 is developed in order to address the unfinished agenda of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to address inequities within and between districts and population groups and to help the country to begin implementing the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) without delay. The MNH SP, spanning 9 years of the SDGs, provides guidance to accelerate momentum for maternal and newborn health in the country. It is expected to achieve a transformation in health and sustainable development by 2030 for all women and newborns and their families.
UNFPA & WHO: Joint Media Statement
7 March 2018 (Colombo, Sri Lanka): The World Health Organization (WHO) in Sri Lanka and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Sri Lanka, jointly echo the statement issued by the United Nations in Sri Lanka earlier today, regarding the recent incidents of communal violence, and jointly condemn these actions in the strongest possible terms.

The unnatural deaths of women and girl children are often a subject of speculation on the part of the general public, especially when they are due to external causes such as injury or trauma or when the manner or circumstances of death involve homicides, suicides, accidents, or cannot be determined. A key channel of disseminating knowledge about such deaths is via the media, especially via newspaper reportage.

The International technical guidance on sexuality education is a technical tool that presents the evidence base and rationale for delivering comprehensive sexuality education to young people in order to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals. The guidance identifies the characteristics of effective comprehensive sexuality education programmes, recommends essential topics and learning objectives that should be covered in curricula for all learners, and outlines approaches for planning, delivering and monitoring comprehensive sexuality education programmes.
