UNFPA Sri Lanka conducted a training session focused on enhancing the capacity of our implementing partners in terms of financial and programme quarterly reporting for accurate evaluations. Held on 4th June in Colombo, this training session aimed to improve the quality and accuracy of our work plan monitoring, reporting, and evaluation activities, thereby ensuring better programming and delivering impactful results to realize our mandate in Sri Lanka.
Our implementing partners from across the country attended this training that equipped them with the knowledge and skills to enhance the quarterly reporting capabilities in terms of programme and financial aspects.
Some of the specific objectives we focused on during the training included, better understanding the importance of work plan monitoring and its various components, equipping participants with the skills to produce high-quality, accurate quarterly progress reports, including vital information on results, activities, and financial evidence, and to familiarize participants with UNFPA's global reporting requirements and standards.
As a result of this training, our implementing partners are now equipped with vital knowledge to better monitor and report on their work plans, ultimately contributing to the success of UNFPA's mission in Sri Lanka.
