The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) strives to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. In Sri Lanka, we deliver this mandate by advocating for reproductive rights and gender equality and promoting evidence-based decision-making in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

UNFPA Sri Lanka is planning to procure kits tailored to different vulnerable groups, which is crucial for addressing their unique needs effectively. Therefore, UNFPA Sri Lanka wishes to establish a Long Term Agreement (LTA) with selected suppliers for a period of two-years and extend accordingly.

At the minimum, this LTA will commit for the procurement of 2,000 Maternity Kits, 2,600 Dignity Kits, and 3,000 Adolescent Kits to ensure comprehensive support across various demographics.

Below are the general descriptions of these kits:

  • 'Maternity Kits' are vital for ensuring safe childbirth and postnatal care, providing necessary supplies for both the mother and the newborn during critical moments.
  • 'Dignity Kits' cater primarily to women and girls, offering essential hygiene products that help maintain personal hygiene, dignity, and comfort, particularly in settings where access to such supplies is limited.
  • 'Adolescent Kits' focus on the unique needs of young individuals, providing items that support their health, education, and emotional well-being, fostering resilience and continuity in their development even amidst disruption.

Kindly download the attached 'RFP Document' including the 'LTA Agreement' and 'Technical Specifications of Kits' for submission of proposals/bids to establish an LTA for the supply of Maternity, Dignity and Adolescent Kits for local community.
