As part of the global #16DaysOfActivism campaign, Sri Lanka’s Parliament united to take a powerful stand against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Under the leadership of the Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus, Members of Parliament and Parliament staff came together, wearing orange to symbolize solidarity with survivors and a commitment to #EndGBV.

This collective action reflects Sri Lanka’s dedication to fostering a society where women and girls can live free from violence and fear. By amplifying the voices of survivors and promoting policies aimed at prevention and support, Parliament is championing the need for systemic change to combat GBV.UNFPA Sri Lanka is proud to stand #ByYourSide, supporting these efforts and advocating for a safer, more equitable society. Together, we can work towards ending GBV and ensuring that every woman and girl can live with dignity and security.
