With an aim to develop a multi sectoral National Action Plan to address Gender-Based Violence in Sri Lanka, UNFPA Sri Lanka held a series of consultations from March with the Higher Education, Skills Development, Media, Child Affairs, Youth, Transport, Health, Indigenous Medicine, Disaster Management, General Education, Vocational Training and Skills Development and Sports sectors.
The objective of these consultations is to develop a draft of specific sector strategies to address sexual and gender-based violence.
