UNFPA Sri Lanka together with FPASL host stakeholder consultation on the development of a virtual CSE platform

UNFPA Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPASL), held a consultation meeting with key stakeholders to discuss the development of a virtual Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) platform. The event held on 14th June in Colombo, brought together representatives from the government, professional colleges, UN agencies, and civil society organizations, all dedicated to improving access to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Sri Lanka.

CSE is essential in safeguarding the health and well-being of young people by empowering them with accurate information and essential skills, so that they are equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions and exercise their rights in terms of sexual and reproductive health.

UNFPA Sri Lanka together with FPASL aim to make CSE accessible, interactive, and age-appropriate for young people across the country. Digitizing CSE will ensure that everyone can access vital information about reproductive health, healthy relationships, and lifestyles. The planned platform will not only benefit young people but also serve as a valuable resource for others to educate themselves and share accurate information within their communities.
