Recently, as part of its Humanitarian Response Project, UNFPA Sri Lanka, with support from the Government of Australia, initiated a crucial effort to aid expectant mothers in need.
Maternity Kits, containing essential commodities for pregnancy and childbirth, were distributed among mothers attending the Antenatal clinics at the Teaching Hospital Mahamodara. These kits serve as a lifeline for women facing financial hardships, ensuring access to vital resources necessary for safe pregnancies and deliveries.
The distribution of Maternity Kits underscores UNFPA Sri Lanka's dedication to promoting maternal health and well-being, particularly during times of crisis.
