The 57th Camporee will have close to 5,000 scouts, club scouts and singithi scouts in the district participating. The theme for this year’s Colombo Camporee was ‘Leaders for a better tomorrow’. The camp program focused on driving the theme to instill true leadership among scouts. UNFPA joined other UN Agencies to conduct a series of trainings and awareness sessions.

The objectives of taking part in this session was to: 1. Create a dialogue and conversation on consent, relationships, decision-making and life choices; 2. To provide information and referrals on sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence and mental health to young people between 15 - 24 years, and; 3. To engage with a diverse group of young people from across the country and increase UNFPA's visibility.

UNFPA played the 'Maze Game' with scouts, which is a 15x15ft banner laid on the ground, that guides players through a series of questions and answers on consent, relationships, partner interactions, gender and sexual and reproductive health. The game provides an opportunity for young people to make choices and decisions and the choices will be discussed with accurate information creating a dialogue among the youth. The activity focuses on different components of CSE targeting in and out of school young people.

A well known activist, artist and a Gender Consultant for the Ministry of agriculture/ presidential secretariat Kapila Rasnayake facilitated this activity for UNFPA.
