In preparation for the forthcoming International SDG Summit 2023, the United Nations is organizing a series of multi-stakeholder dialogues towards setting the national commitments for accelerating the 2030 Agenda. As part of this series, UNFPA Sri Lanka has organized a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the theme of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.
The meeting has aimed to consolidate inputs from partners in the public sector, civil society and the private sector on the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GEWE) theme for the national statement on the SDG Summit Acceleration and Accountability Platform Dialogue on GEWE. The meeting has intended to identify the policy level imperatives, action needed to accelerate implementation and the challenges specifically related to GEWE.
