"Youth Emerge 2023” is a trilingual Inter-University competition series organized by the Economics Students’ Association of University of Colombo, Faculty of Arts, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The competition series will consist of the following:
- Individual Oratory competition - Any undergraduate can participate through registration before deadline
- Individual essay competition - Any undergraduate can participate through registration before deadline
- Quiz competition - Each University can send maximum two teams consisting of 4 members each for the quiz

Timeline of events:
12 August 2023: Inauguration ceremony and the International Youth Day celebration. All undergraduates registered for the competition are invited for this event where valuable knowledge on the above mentioned theme will be shared by a professional panel.
19 August and 20 August 2023: Initial rounds of the quiz competition will be held on these days at university of Colombo premises.
13 August 2023 - 03 September 2023: Submission period for oratory and essay competitions
12 September 2023: Closing ceremony of the event where the winners and participants get awarded followed with an exhibition of essay submissions and other content on the theme.
