Empowering youth to play their role in peacebuilding and social cohesion and making informed choices for sexual and reproductive health is a key pillar of UNFPA's engagement in Sri Lanka.
By engaging diverse youth groups that represent different religious and ethnic communities across the North, South, Central, and East provinces of Sri Lanka, UNFPA has brought together an innovative and participatory intervention with youth - led organizations and networks.
To further advance this effort, the UNFPA Sri Lanka and Alliance Development Trust Sri Lanka are jointly organizing a five-day training program focusing on social cohesion, peacebuilding, gender equality, and reproductive health and rights for youth leaders in the regions of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa.
