Organizational Setting

The Programme Assistant is based in the Sri Lanka Country Office (CO) and reports to the National Programme Analyst - Gender and Women's Rights.

Job Purpose

The UNFPA 2018-2021 country programme will contribute to the equitable enjoyment of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights of all Sri Lankans, particularly among women and young people, and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) agenda. Within the classification of a middle-income country UNFPA CO in Sri Lanka is engaged in policy advocacy and dialogue backed by evidence.

The programme Assistant establishes a record-keeping and processing of information system and assists in the creation of programme data relevant to population and development, reproductive health and gender issues.
