Organizational Setting

The Consultant is based in the Sri Lanka Country Office (CO) and reports to the UNFPA National Programme and Policy Analyst - Gender and Women's Rights with the overall guidance of the UNFPA Assistant Representative.

Job Purpose

The UNFPA 2018-2021 country programme will contribute to the equitable enjoyment of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights of all Sri Lankans, particularly among women and young people, and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) agenda. Within the classification of a middle-income country UNFPA CO in Sri Lanka is engaged in policy advocacy and dialogue backed by evidence.

The consultancy is to coordinate capacity building / training sessions for the 10 regional offices of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) on Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights (RH & RR) and Sexual Gender-based Violence (SGBV).
